Let Your Heart Revive
I painted this piece with a shattered heart, unsure how or if all the pieces could be put back together again. At the beginning of Let Your Heart Revive, the image reminded me of an aerial perspective of clouds, wheat fields, and fire. The process of painting it was its own sort of wandering through the wilderness and waiting for a clear way through. It was one of those few paintings that I felt wasn't going anywhere or ever going to be finished. Eventually, after many layers the story became clear to me– it reminds me that broken hearts and barren places can be restored to whole and full again. So, if your heart is aching or broken: let your heart revive, all those pieces can be made whole and be restored to new life.
