The Story Behind the Art:
Sunflowers have always reminded me of grief, hope, and joy existing together; bright and full of joy, sunflowers always turn toward the light of the sun, and beautifully as their blooms eventually die they produce seeds that continue to nourish and multiply. Eventually, more sunflowers grow and bloom in place of the one and the cycle continues; I think joy in the midst of our suffering or sorrow can look like that too if we allow it to draw us closer to the Light.
